Avoiding conflicts of interest
Lawyers are prohibited by professional regulations from representing conflicting interests (Sec. 43a (4) BRAO).  Therefore, before we accept an engagement, we always check whether a conflict of interest exists.

Out-of-court settlement of disputes
Upon request, disputes between lawyers and their clients can be settled out of court by the regional bar association (pursuant to Sec. 73 (2) no. 3 in conjunction with Sec. 73 (5) BRAO) or by the conciliation body of the Federal Bar Association (Sec. 191f BRAO), which can be found on the homepage of the Federal Bar Association (http://www.brak.de/ or by e-mail: schlichtungsstelle@brak.de)
